Anabell Lee bent down where she was in the garden, lowering her head to smell the light purple flowers before her. She closed her eyes and smiled, the fragrance wafting into the air, and she sat down on her knees.

She looked up into the passionate blue sky, and she was content. It was heavenly.

Anabell let the warm sunshine bathe her in it's radiance, she let nature take over her soul. She loved it this way... just her, and the natural world. The trees would not recoil at her intelligence, the flowers wouldn't criticize her and the rocks would never leave her. As long as she was here, in this tranquil garden... Anabell would never have to be alone again.

As she closed her eyes once more, she could almost swear she felt nature smiling with her.

Amycus strode towards the gardens, her eyes squinting in the bright sunlight. It was her free block, and she planned on spending it sunning herself. She was about halfway there when she caught sight of someone already occupying a spot in the garden. Her features twisted into a scowl, and she prepared to shout something at the offending person, when she realized that the person was a Slytherin. Well, that isn't so bad. It could be worse...like a Gryffindor. Amy thought to herself. Upon closer expection, it turned out that the Slytherin was Anabell Lee. Amy smiled slightly, and wondered whether or not she should startle her by metamorphing into the Headmaster or Professor Slughorn, or even that loathsome McGonagall. However, she decided against it-after all, it was her special gift, and she didn't want anybody knowing about it yet. Even though she'd already used it several times. That was before she realized how advantageous it was to be a metamorphagus. The fewer people that knew...the better. When she was near enough to her, Amy called out,

"Anabell! How are you on this lovely day?" She ran a hand through her wavy brown hair as she looked down at her fellow Slytherin. It briefly occurred to her that maybe Anabell wanted to be alone, but that thought soon vanished. After all, who wouldn't enjoy Amycus Carrow's company? At least, that's how she thought of it. Anyone who wouldn't want her to sit and chat with them was probably insane. Once again, this is how she thought of it.

Having decided to stay, Amy's nose wrinkled at the rock nearest Anabell, and after dusting it off a couple of times with her hand and then wiping her hand on her handerchief, Amy daintily sat down on it. From this vantage point, Anabell would have to look up to see her, and she could look down upon Anabell. Seemed fair enough. Ugh, why don't they have benches here? It's so uncomfortable!

Anabell looked up from the flowers and snapped out of her tranquil reverie, a bit startled, but not by much; the scent of such beauty was an inebriant that calmed and soothed her, and she was not on edge at all.

She looked up to see a girl striding over to her, whom had called out to her as if they had known each other for years. Normally she would have found this odd and would have probably contributed to the more awkward side of the conversation, but she was in a good mood.

"Hello," she smiled as she recognized the face. "Amycus, I believe?" This girl had a reputation of being very snotty and pretentious, but Anabell wasn't one to judge so quickly - she hated stereotypical rumors. "I'm doing well. This day is exuberantly beautiful, don't you think?"

She looked back up at the sky, thinking about how nice it was today.

She was somewhat surprised that Anabell didn't already know her name. This rarely happened at Hogwarts, she made sure of that. But, it was a nice day, why ruin it by yelling at some ignorant girl? So she decided to let that one slide. A bit of a surprise tidbit of niceness coming from her. If Anabell didn't know, fine. That was surprising, but she at least knew what her name was, and wasn't completely clueless. She just better not forget. That she might not be able to let slide so easily. Smiling, she answered her blonde companion,

"Yes, it's Amycus. And yes, it is an...exuberantly beautiful day." A somewhat unusual choice of words. But, to each her own, I suppose. she thought to herself. If she wants to get all....poetical, let her. Not really a problem. Following Anabell's eyes, she too looked up at the crystal clear blue sky. It was extraordinarily pretty. A real rarity in England, especially in autumn. About now everyone was usually reaching for their heavier cloaks. Amycus stretched her arms high above her head and then leaned back on her elbows. She had walked all the way out here, might as well try and soak up some sun. She closed her eyes to the sun's warm rays and smiled slightly. "It's quite peaceful out here, you wouldn't expect it. All of the...stuff going on inside the castle."
